Total Soluble Sugars in Root and Stem of Wichita and Western <i>Carya Illinoinensis</i> Varieties in Northern Mexico

Abstract The aim of the current study was to determine monthly total soluble sugar concentration in stem and root Wichita Western walnut ( Carya illinoinensis ) varieties during a productive cycle northern Mexico. Vegetable samples were obtained using systematic sampling method, processed by means spectrophotometric assay sugars (TSS) trees. Data analysis performed 2-way ANOVA. results TSS had differences throughout months an annual cycle, also different between evaluated varieties. highest lowest temperature months, it decreases both tissues when environmental rises. variety higher than every month cycle.
